How long does treatment last?

Therapy sessions are typically recommended on a weekly basis and we can discuss your needs and preference. Therapy can be short-term lasting about 8 weeks or less, or as long as 6 months or more. We talk about your goals for treatment and come up with a plan to best fit your needs.

Is therapy for me?

Therapy is for everyone! The challenges in your life don’t have to be severe in order to benefit from talking to a professional. Investing in your mental health can help mitigate the adverse effects of life’s challenges. Benefits of therapy include decreased anxiety, worry, stress, and an increase in overall well-being. Many therapists are in therapy too, as we know the importance of our own self-care in being able to help others.

How does Telehealth work?

For video sessions, Luna Counseling uses the HIPAA compliant Simple Practice web platform, which can be accessed via smartphone, computer, or tablet. The intake forms are also completed through Simple Practice.

I don’t live in the Los Angeles area or the Monterey Bay… can I still work with you?

Luna Counseling is able to provide Telehealth services for those who live in the state of California.

Do you offer In-Person services?

Luna Counseling plans to offer walk-and-talk sessions in late 2024 in Salinas, CA. Please inquire for more information.

Do you take insurance?

Luna Counseling is in-network with Southern CA Kaiser. Please specify if you are interested in using your Kaiser insurance when booking a consultation so that we can explain the process.

Luna Counseling can also provide a superbill (a detailed invoice of services) for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Luna Counseling does not guarantee that any portion of the service will be reimbursed by your insurance provider.

How do you accept payments?

We accept payments through credit/debit card only. Card payments are charged through Ivy Pay which is used to process your payment easily and securely through your smartphone. No app is required! Payment plans are available for Immigration Evaluations.

Are you accepting new clients?

Luna Counseling is not accepting new clients at this time, but a waitlist is available. Please message us to be added.
